Compendium, a new online journal resource focused on diary collaborations and writing groups, was launched this month.

Billing itself as "a comprehensive starting-point for online journallers, writers and readers on the internet," Compendium is at its heart a versatile listing of journal writing communities, which can be browsed alphabetically as well as by date, frequency, and even format (mailing list, webring, etc.).

"After being online since November 1999, and hearing for the zillionth time someone requesting information about collaborations, the Hermit felt it was high time to launch some form of resource which newbies and oldbies alike could use to find the writing group that suited them, with a minimum of effort," the site explains.
