Just a quick note to let you know that your description of Diaryland is now a bit outdated. Previous/Next links were recently added as a new feature. Also, an inexpensive 'gold membership' is available with some expanded benefits like site statistics.

Also, it's SignMyGuestbook.com, along with Pitas.com which does weblogs.

I adore diaryland, myself. It's quite possibly the best all-round journal site out there -- diary-x is nice but a tad hard to get used to, and the others are too limited for my taste.

The best thing I found while I was at diaryland is that it has a really active user community. People really interact there and the chatroom is great.

Other journalists are really supportive of the users and when you're first starting out, that counts more than anything.

Default Diaryland Review

I agree with the posters who have said you need to revisit the review of Diaryland. I've been very happy with it. You can become a Gold Member for very little money, but you can also customize your diary without becoming a Gold Member if you learn a bit of html. Another benefit of Diaryland is the community. Users are very interactive, and you feel like part of a group, which is not something I've noticed at other online journalling sites. I agree with Erin. When I was starting out, I was encouraged by other journalists who helped me learn html and let me know if my code wasn't working. The guestbooks are completely customizable, so you can match your diary. You can also delete selected entries if you want to.

I also agree with Mlle. Manon. I adore Diaryland. I think Diary-x is rather limited in comparison.
